I enjoyed this book and was highly intrigued with the read. If they don’t have the device, they can’t control when they travel to. Their time travel was uncontrolled until a device was made to control it. The genetic time travel ability was rather new to me. The only problem is that Gwen doesn’t take kindly to being ordered around. He is a know-it-all who thinks he can order Gwen around. He is also most likely in love with Charlotte and seems to resent Gwen. He has the hang of time travel and has for the past three or so years. Gideon is Gwen’s time travel counterpart. A world where there is a secret society, a way to control the time travel, and the boy she is supposed to spend time with, Gideon. Then Gwen is thrust into a world she never knew existed. Gwen is just second to her, not important in the eyes of her aunt and grandmother. Her cousin, Charlotte, is the one who is supposed to be the time traveler. Gwen was a character I actually cared about which was nice. It was a really quick read because I wanted to know what happened next. I read this book in literally four hours one night after work.
